Dr. W. Charles White III
Dr. W. Charles White III, combining a BA in Romance Languages and a DDS, practices in Washington D.C., focusing on comprehensive dental care, including implantology and mental well-being. He emphasizes the oral health-mental health connection, aiming to educate patients on the importance of daily preventative care and the significant impact of oral health on overall wellness.
Education and Experience: B.A. in Romance Languages with an emphasis in Spanish Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He completed his residency at the Washington D.C. Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center where he received extensive training in all forms of restorative dentistry including endodontics (root canals), fixed and removable prosthetics (crowns, bridges and dentures). Dr. White received training in implantology, conscious sedation, oral surgery, sleep apnea and orofacial pain management and is currently receiving extensive education in orthodontics. He currently works in private practice in Washington D.C.Â
Dr. White does not just teach about the connection between mouth and body, he also emphasizes the importance between the mouth and mind. He understands the way you feel about your smile is directly correlated to the way that you feel about yourself and is a huge advocate in the preservation of his patient’s mental health. Through an interdisciplinary approach, he works strategically to improve the esthetics and function of his patient’s smile.
