What is a Golden Milk Latte and What Are its Benefits?

Cozy, comforting, and a little spicy, a golden milk latte is a great way to start or end your day.

A golden milk latte promotes calm energy that can be used to help you relax and wind down at the end of the day. The same calm energy can help you elevate your mind over the stresses and anxieties of a fast-paced life. The main ingredients in this drink (ginger, turmeric, cinnamon) are loaded with antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties that make golden milk a superfood.

Join me today as I explore a healthy drink with many benefits that can help you live a happier, more satisfying life.

Use Natural Anti-Inflammatory Sources to Promote Good Health

Natural antioxidants are more useful than some people realize. When you are sick, inflammation makes everything worse, but even when you are healthy, it takes a hidden toll.

Most Americans experience inflammation on a regular basis, sometimes without even realizing. When you eat too much, drink too much, or carry a significant load of stress, your body responds by releasing pro-inflammatory products. This leads to water retention and swelling that can even affect your organs.

But taking anti-inflammatory medicines like acetaminophen and aspirin every day isn’t healthy, and these medicines often have unwelcome side effects. There are foods you can eat that have anti-inflammatory properties, and many of them are delicious. Cinnamon has health benefits in addition to being one of the most popular and well-known flavorings in the world. The downside is that it is usually mixed with lots of sugar and other unhealthy ingredients that promote inflammation. But there are many ways you can enjoy cinnamon without loading up on sugar and unhealthy fats.

The health benefits of turmeric go beyond fighting inflammation. Turmeric can help prevent heart disease, atherosclerosis, strokes, and many related conditions. It also helps you lower your cholesterol levels. It is also an antioxidant and can boost your brain like the nootropics found in the Tim Ferriss brain supplements.

If you like Asian cuisine like curry, then you are already familiar with turmeric. Like cinnamon, a little bit of turmeric goes a long way. Unlike cinnamon, most of the recipes that use turmeric do not use a lot of sugar. In fact, many of my favorite curried dishes are loaded with healthy vegetables. Turmeric blends well with a lot of different foods, and it’s a great way to fight inflammation while enjoying some of the most delicious and savory foods in the world.

Golden Milk Lattes Are a Natural Mood Enhancer

Foods like cinnamon and turmeric are mood-boosting foods that work by challenging your body. Most spices evolved as defense mechanisms against being eaten. When we include a small amount of these spices in the dishes we cook, these defense mechanisms create a mild irritation. We breathe faster, and our pulse quickens. The blood vessels dilate and carry more blood, and we become more awake and alert. As long as we don’t consume too much and end up in distress, these effects can have a pleasant, mood-elevating effect. I would not recommend you try to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon or turmeric straight off the spoon!

The end result is creamy and delicious. Best of all, it’s fast and easy to make, so you can do it every day. I keep a pitcher of unheated ingredients in the fridge. When I get up in the morning, I put a pot on and love the aroma that fills my kitchen. It gives me a boost before I even take the first sip.

Strengthen and Protect Your Immune System

Chronic inflammation affects more people than you might think. Many people experience inflammation as a side effect of other conditions like diabetes, asthma, and auto-immune disorders. You can also experience inflammation when you eat too much, drink too much, or are placed under too much stress.

Carbs and Inflammation: How Sugar Causes Inflammation

Inflammation impairs your immune system and can interfere with digestion, sleep, and normal metabolic functions. This can leave you tired and more prone to illness, which will only make the inflammation worse.

No matter who you are, you can reap all the benefits of taking anti-inflammatory supplements. A golden milk latte is delicious and comforting, so most people view it as a treat. It is also a source of powerful anti-inflammatory agents like cinnamon and turmeric that can help reduce the effects of chronic inflammation.

A golden milk latte is not going to cure you of a disease or fix chronic conditions. It will help ease the symptoms that come from inflammation, and this can strengthen your immune system. Managing health complaints requires more than just doctors and medicine. The right foods can boost your immune system and speed your recovery from illness. If you incorporate them into your regular diet, they can even help protect you from getting sick in the first place.

Make Golden Milk Lattes Part of a New Commitment to Better Health

It is easy to get into better shape if you approach it with the right attitude. Making small and fun changes to your life can make the road to good health a fun and exciting ride.

One delicious and easy upgrade is to take advantage of all the benefits of berries. Most people I know love the taste of fresh berries and consider them a treat instead of a chore. Herbal tea benefits are well-known, but tea is often overlooked when other, more exciting options are around. But adding tea to your diet is a small change that can build up to big benefits over the long haul.

Take stock of your life and see how many easy changes you can make to improve your health. Building new habits is easier when you start with simple, pleasant changes that feel more like rewards than work. I recommend you try golden milk lattes for thirty days and see how much better they can make you feel.
